25 more technical interns are going to Japan

Under the initiative of Bangladesh-German Technical Training Center, 584 technical interns (workers) have already gone to Japan through BMET without any migration cost. They have gained expertise by using Japan's latest technology in various industrial establishments in Japan. They are contributing to the socio-economic development of this country by sending foreign currency. In continuation of this, 25 more technical interns (workers) are going to Japan on Thursday free of cost.

State Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury handed over the smart cards and certificates to the Japan-bound technical interns at Bangladesh-German Technical Training Center in Dhaka's Mirpur on Thursday noon.

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment BMET Director General Saleh Ahmed Muzaffar, Bangladesh-German Technical Training Center Principal Fouzia Shahnaz and others were present.

Addressing the technical interns going to Japan, State Minister Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury said, "Each of you is a representative of the country, an ambassador of Bangladesh. Your work, movement and manners will bring laurels to the country. If you do bad things, you will discredit yourself, your family, and your country as well.

Without skills, there is no dignity in the country and abroad. Urging all to work together to send skilled manpower abroad, the state minister said the technical skills of the workers must be enhanced for the sustainable development of Bangladesh's labor market abroad. For this, our technical training centers will be able to play a special role.

Expecting that the technical interns going to Japan will bring good name to Bangladesh, the State Minister said, "You will be by the side of the people in the good days and bad days of the country." Free of cost, going to Japan legally; So, you should send remittances in legal ways. You will be given remittance awards.

"You'll work as an inspiration for those who want to go abroad in future," he said. You will motivate them so that all of them go abroad after becoming skilled through training.

Saleh Ahmed Muzaffar, director general of BMET opined, those who have language qualifications gain skills by interning in different industrial factories as interns. After 3 years of successful interns, you will be able to work as a skilled worker for 5 years in a Japanese company. At the end of these 5 years, there is a chance that you will be able to work as a skilled worker for the rest of your life.
